I’m a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in Felton, California, up in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. I’ve been fortunate enough to do something that I love, sharing the benefit of my hypnotic technique and knowledge to help others lead healthier and happier lives.
I’ve helped people find their own answers to weight loss, quitting smoking, getting more confidence, clearing emotional roadblocks, relieving stress, and getting a good night’s sleep. But, before I was a hypnotherapist…
I had a career working in software in the Silicon Valley as a quality assurance tester, making sure that software went out the door in the best state possible. Unfortunately, I wasn’t making sure that *I* was going out in the best state possible! Long hours, lots of stress at work and at home, too much sugar, not enough exercise and lots of energy drinks later, I got to being 50 pounds overweight and had put my health in real jeopardy. Something had to change and soon…
I started changing my eating habits and got back to the gym. But the biggest change in my body had to come from between my ears. I had gotten so used to a stressful life that I’d forgotten how to relax! Fortunately, I came across a relaxation CD using hypnosis and began listening faithfully. That was the beginning of a new state of mind (and a new career!) that helped me transform my body…and my life!
Hypnosis is very powerful.
I can remember a stage hypnotist’s show back in high school as he was hypnotizing my fellow students to believe that they were famous movie stars, racing in a fast car, and the almost obligatory “you are a chicken!” skit. But his finale was what impressed me the most: The Human Bridge. Hypnotizing one of our athletic, but still just 16 year old girls, to be “stiff as a board”, he stretched her across two chairs with her middle body and hips completely unsupported. He then proceeded to step up onto her like a step stool, without a quiver or twitch coming from his hypnotized subject. My jaw hit the floor…
The power of the subconscious mind over the body, and the use of hypnosis as a quick and efficient tool to reach that subconscious mind, was very clearly illustrated to me that day 30 years ago. As I’ve used hypnosis on my clients and seen it’s therapeutic benefits first hand, the Human Bridge, while quite impressive, is just a “parlor trick” in comparison to what is actually possible. Changing lifelong negative habits into powerful positive ones, resolving old emotional traumas in a fraction of the time of traditional psychiatric methods, inducing new patterns of thought for peak mental and physical performance, and speeding healing in the body; these are just a few of the many benefits that hypnotherapy can provide.
I’d like to be your intuitive and hypnotically skilled ally on your quest to being a better YOU!
